The Bachelor Degree Course in "Professional Education - Enabling to the Health Profession of Professional Educator" is an enabling Degree Course that prepares for the formation of the figure of the Professional Educator. The course trains social and health workers who, working in health and social education, provide specific and highly professional assistance to people of different ages suffering from chronic diseases, disability or other health conditions requiring ongoing specialist care. Among the many skills achieved with the Degree in "Professional Education" include the care of people with disabilities, psychiatric diseases, neurodegenerative diseases, cognitive deficits, behavioural addictions and substances, psychosocial suffering, and discomfort. In addition, they contribute to the organization of social and health structures and resources; work on the families and social context of patients with diseases; participate in study, research, and documentation activities; contribute to the training of students and support staff; and contribute to refresher and health education activities.
What do you learn?
The scientific profile of the Professional Educator includes solid knowledge and basic competence in the fields of life sciences, medicine, health, psychology, and pedagogy that will allow him to understand and solve the complexity of the problems related to the situation of hardship in which the subjects with whom they will confront. The courses provided, organized based on complementarity and affinity of the topics covered, will provide all the critical knowledge of the training path of the Health Professional Educator that will be divided into the following areas: biomedical and health area; psychological area and pedagogy, area of socio-health professional education, linguistic and computer interdisciplinary area. Through these areas, learners will gain specific knowledge and skills in health and health promotion, medical and relational sciences, psychology and human development. They will also acquire knowledge and methodological skills and programming-organization of work in territorial contexts that allow the identification and implementation of operational strategies, organizational models, and programming functional to the achievement of the objectives both at the individual level and for training and community projects, also based on the modules of needs analysis and intervention design.

The Professional Educator plays a crucial role in the national context, contributing significantly to the well-being, social and healthcare education. Once equipped with the necessary knowledge, skills, and competencies, they can take on various roles, contributing to the professional team to support and develop the three pillars of the National Health Service: tertiary prevention, care, and rehabilitation. They can operate in social and healthcare settings, supporting individuals and families in situations of distress or need and promoting mental health and psychological well-being. Graduates carry out their activities as employees or freelance professionals in the public or private social sector, working with Provincial Health Agencies, services for pathological dependencies and mental health, communities for individuals with physical or mental disabilities, day centres, communities for minors, family counselling centres, and residential socio-healthcare facilities for the elderly. Furthermore, obtaining a Bachelor Degree allows them to continue their educational path by enrolling in Master Degree programs, such as those in Rehabilitative Sciences of Health Professions, or participating in various Master's programs (Methods and Techniques of Cognitive and Behavioral Rehabilitation, Health Management, Clinical Applications in Pediatric Psychology) and Research Doctorates (Health Sciences and Technologies, Social Sciences) in the field of professional assistance and rehabilitation.
