A cosa prepara?
Biotechnology is a Bachelor Degree Course for a total of 180 ECTS. Main objective: Prepare students with high technical and behavioural knowledge and skills relevant for a modern study and research methodology, immediately usable in different fields of work. Training course:
- frontal teaching activities in different field of biotechnology;
- practical laboratory activity.
- ability to continuously update their knowledge in the sector of Biotechnology, characterized by rapid increase in scientific knowledge, including economic ethical and legislative knowledge, also related to the use of biotechnological products;
- cognitive and technical skills and tools for the theoretical-experimental study of biological phenomena;
- technical skills relevant for the study of molecular, cellular and tissutal processes;
- ability to apply the acquired biotechnological knowledge in the industrial, biomedical and agri-food sectors.
Cosa si impara?
- Know and interpret, in a molecular and cellular key, biological systems;
- apply protocols related to biotechnological productions;
- design, develop and analyse biotechnological experiments.
Cosa si può fare dopo?
Operational and managerial roles in medical, agricultural and pharmaceutical research fields, in bio-industrial production and in transformation processes. They can continue their studies in the Master Degree Courses of the class LM7, Agricultural Biotechnology, LM8, Industrial Biotechnology and LM6 - Biology. In particular, they can find work in:
- Universities and other public and private research institutes;
- Biotechnological, agri-food, pharmaceutical, and cosmetology industries;
- Research laboratories;
- Laboratories and public and private diagnostic service providers;
- Disseminators as freelance journalists, according to Law 148/2011.
